Mikehla and Katie’s Experiment
In this experiment, we used 5 different types of balls, which we dropped from different heights, to see which balls bounce better. These balls were, pepsi ball, volleyball, porcupine ball, basketball, and golf ball. Each ball was dropped 10 times, and the heights were totalled, so we could work out the percentage. The pepsi ball was first and after dropping it from 130 cm., 10 times, the average height bounced was 90 cm. The volleyball was dropped 10 times from a height of 100 cm and the average height was 77.7 cm. Next the porcupine ball was dropped from 185cm, and it averaged 116.8 height bounced. The basketball was bounced from 150 cm and everytime it bounced, it measured the same height of 100 cm. Last we tried the golf ball, which was the smallest ball, but it bounces the highest. After being dropped from 180 cm., it bounced an average of 152.3cm.

The pepsi ball was a famous kind of rubber toy. It’s rebound helps to give it force to help it bounce more. It is made completely out of rubber. It is also made to have good grip for children of all ages.
The volleyball is made of 3 different layers. They are the bladder, then the cloth layer and then the shell. The volleyball was invented in 1895.
The porcupine ball is made out of rubber. It is 100% Australian, and the spikes give it the grip.
The basketball was made in 1942. Men and women who play basketball must be tall.
The golf ball was first made out of wood, in the 15th century. They have 1 layer and made out of rubber now.
